Cyberpunk Romeo and Juliet
I decided to backtrack from film to theatre to find my inspiration, and Romeo and Juliet is the perfect example: there is the exact theatre script and there are famous film adaptations from different eras.

Inspiration board
I started with the script and extracted lines based on the two characters: Romeo’s look was inspired by ‘fire on snow’ and Juliet’s by ‘breaking the ice’.
I carried out a lot of experiments in material reconstruction,
purely by hand for the adhesion of mirrored materials as well as the stitching and design of mechanical devices.
The kernel of cyberpunk is bitter: emotions between people are crowded out by money and virtual networks, just as we are today. Nevertheless, I still firmly believe that the Romeo and Juliet in my heart will embrace each other under the sky of virtual petals, the cold metal prosthetic body will be warmed by the warm and soft lips, and under the dazzling reflection of technological materials are soft silk and running blood.
